“Just breathe” – That is the advice my instructor gave to me after a week of absences due to illness, and she was so right. If my hair could have turned gray overnight, it would have. Now that finals are over, and the caffeine/sugar induced high I was riding is finally through, I am ready for a weekend of relaxation. As Linda puts it “life happens”, and I must say that the support I received from my instructors and my friends here at Empire College has truly been the medicine I needed. Whew… Three week modules fly by pretty fast, and I'm welcoming the 6 week module beginning next week.

I'm looking forward to volunteering at the Lawyers with Heart function on February 5, 2010 at the Finley Center here in Santa Rosa. Proceeds benefit a child abuse prevention program; and it will be a great networking opportunity. Plus, I think it will be a treat to see the professionals in our local community coming together having a good time. Judges and lawyers from this area will be performing in a talent show, and I'm sure it is going to be fabulous.

Empire Legal Student Association will be putting together another BINGO event in the upcoming months, so stay tuned for information regarding the special event. We came through and rocked the campus last time, raising a ton of cash and handing out some way cool prizes - so it will be a night you won't want to miss.

That's about all I have for now. It's still raining and I'm still breathing; and so it would appear that everything is going to be just fine. As a matter of fact, life is still pretty marvelous. Oh and to everyone here at Empire College: Thank you so much for everything! Until next time...
