Kadin Blonski and Janice Sternfeld will speak on the topic "The Field of Law: Is It For You?" at an informational seminar presented by Empire College School of Law. The seminar will be held from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 2, at the College campus, 3035 Cleveland Avenue, Santa Rosa.

An associate with Lanahan & Reilley, Kadin Blonski’s practice focuses on real estate, landlord/tenant, and business law. He does both litigation and transactional work. Mr. Blonski obtained his Juris Doctor with Magna Cum Laude honors from Empire College School of Law in 2006 and has been with the Small Claims Advisory since Empire Law School assumed responsibility for the program in 2005. He started as a student, subsequently became a student supervisor for the clinic, and is now the supervising attorney/professor. He believes that the Small Claims Advisory provides a valuable resource to the courts and the residents of our County.

Janice Sternfeld is a partner in the firm of Perlman & Sternfeld LLP, located in downtown Santa Rosa. Her practice emphasizes elder law issues including estate planning (wills, trusts, durable powers of attorney, and advance health care directives), Medi-Cal planning, probate, conservatorships, and Medicare. Ms. Sternfeld earned her Juris Doctor degree from Empire College School of Law in 2002, graduating Magna Cum Laude, and she has a B.S. in occupational therapy from Texas Woman’s University. Prior to becoming an attorney, Ms. Sternfeld worked as a registered occupational therapist for more than twenty years. This background gives her law practice a unique perspective on the issues seniors and their families face and resources available to them.
